United World College of the Adriatic
Founded in 1982 and based in the Italian north eastern costal village of Duino, near Trieste,
the College offers students of all races and creeds the opportunity of developing international
understanding through programmes which combine high quality academic study and activities which
encourage a sense of adventure and social responsibility.All students attend the College on full
scholarship.
The course covers the final two years of secondary education before university entry.

The Adriatic College is one of the twelve UWC in the world. United World Colleges originated
in the ideas of the German educationalist Kurt Hahn. The first College opened in 1962.

Board of Directors and the registered office for The United World College (International).

Our Location

Duino is 20 km far from Trieste, is located on the road called "strada statale n.
14", between the village of Sistiana and Villaggio del Pescatore,
direction from Trieste to Monfalcone.
