| July, 2005 - Proposta di Legge | Il Collegio del Mondo Unito dell'Adriatico
di Duino vede finalmente risolta l'annosa crisi finanziaria grazie
all'approvazione definitiva del Disegno di Legge promosso dall'on.
Ettore Rosato e sottoscritto dai deputati regionali e da tanti
esponenti della maggioranza e dell'opposizione.
I ringraziamenti vanno estesi ai relatori on. Sergio Mattarella e sen.
Milos Budin nonché ai Presidenti delle Commissioni Esteri on.
Gustavo Selva e sen. Fiorello Provera.
Decisivo è stato l'apporto dato dal Sottosegretario Sen. Roberto
Antonione che ha trasmesso il parere favorevole del Governo al
provvedimento stesso.
La gratitudine dell'intera comunità del Collegio di Duino -
studenti, insegnanti e personale amministrativo - va estesa alla
Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, alla comunita' scientifica
internazionale di Trieste e anche a quanti - e sono stati moltissimi -
che hanno sostenuto lo sforzo di conseguire in una situazione
certamente difficile un tale risultato positivo.
Cosi' il Presidente della Commissione Nazionale Italiana per i Collegi
del Mondo Unito Prof. Mario Sarcinelli ed il suo predecessore Arrigo
Levi, ma anche l'Associazione degli ex-studenti, la Presidente mondiale
Regina Noor al Hussein di Giordania, il Board Internazionale e tanti
amici e sostenitori del Collegio ci hanno sostenuto nell'anno
recentemente trascorso.
Tutto ciò e' segno dell'apprezzamento generale verso una
Istituzione piccola ma di grande prestigio che illustra Trieste, la
Regione e il Paese con la sua attivita', ed i risultati di eccellenza a
livello mondiale che anche quest'anno non sono mancati in occasione
degli esami.

The United World College of the Adriatic in Duino has seen its
difficult financial crisis resolved thanks to the final approval of the
proposed Law promoted by the Honorable Ettore Rosato and underwritten
by the Regional Parliamentarians as well as by other members of the
political Majority and opposition parties.
Our thanks go to the spokesmen Hon. Sergio Mattarella and Senator Milos
Budin as well as to the Presidents of the Foreign Affairs Commissions
Hon. Gustavo Selva and Senator Fiorello Provera.
The support given by Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Senator Roberto
Antonione, spokesman of the favorable opinion of the government, was
decisive for the approval of this proposal.
The entire college community: students, teachers and administrative
personnel, wishes to express its gratitude also to the Region of Friuli
Venezia Giulia, the international scientific community of Trieste and
to the other numerous persons who, through their energetic support,
contributed to the positive outcome of this difficult appeal.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the President of the Italian National
Committee for United World Colleges, Prof. Mario Sarcinelli and his
predecessor Prof. Arrigo Levi, the ex-student Network, the UWC
President Queen Noor of Jordan, the International Board and all the
friends and supporters who helped during the past year.
The overwhelming support we received is the demonstration of
appreciation of an institution which, although small in size, is large
in prestige and which brings lustre to Trieste, the Region and Italy
through its activity and its excellent world class results, once again
confirmed by the recent International Baccalaureate examination results.
