On Thursday, 22nd of March eight students attended a conference in Monfalcone on DEVELOPMENT
COOPERATION WITH THE BALKAN EX-WAR ZONES.

A very busy weekend
|
In addition to the usual activities with students and staff searching desperately for that
imaginary 25th hour, the student body and staff organized a spring Street Market, the football ‘
team’ won a match in Udine and the 3rd years returned to join in, support and add to the
festivities on the last weekend of March!

MONDO UNITO DELL'ADRIATICO ha presentato presso il Kulturni Dom di Trieste, al civico 4 di via
Petronio, la performance "ARCOBALENO" PERCORSI DI TEATRO MULTICULTURALE, incontro conclusivo
dell'omonimo laboratorio.

To much of the world, the Polar Regions are barren lands locked in ice, populated by polar
bears and the odd penguin. In truth, the Poles not only provide a wealth of research opportunities
in fields ranging from cosmology to biology, they also play a major role in regulating the global
climate. Understanding the Polar Regions is crucial to understanding global warming and its
impacts, and these fragile habitats are also the places most under threat from climate change . . .

Spring Initiatives at UWCAD
|
While enjoying the warm weather of an Italian spring and preparing for the IB examinations in
May, a number of events have been organized at the college. These student-organized and led events
contribute greatly to making the UWC experience so enriching. As well as being fun for
participants, they also raise awareness about international issues and often try to help address
these issues, in true UWC spirit.
